Václav Štětka presented at the UNESCO World Press Freedom Day Regional Forum

Václav Štětka was a speaker at the UNESCO World Press Freedom Day Regional Forum for Europe on 29 April 2021. Hosted by the Centre for Media Pluralism and Media Freedom (European University Institute, Florence), the event was part of UNESCO’s global conference “Information as a Public Good”, celebrating World Press Freedom Day and commemorating 30 years from the Windhoek Declaration – an important milestone in the UN-led campaign to uphold principles of press freedom and pluralism across the world. Among the participants of the Regional Forum for Europe were European Commission’s Vice-President Vera Jourova, Romanian MEP Ramona Strugariu, Director of the Information Society Council of Europe Jan Kleijssen, and the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media Teresa Ribeiro.
